One Step At A Time

I know, it's Monday again! Happy day after Sunday everyone. Our weekend was filled with an eye-opening school event (Ghost Out) on Friday followed by district baseball games, Junior/Senior Prom on Saturday and Sunday was church~lunch~processing pictures from Friday and
Saturday followed by digging out the dirt in our other rock flower bed. I'm worn out, sore and tired. Monday has shown me that I'm too old to pack all that fun into one weekend and I still have household chores to do instead of resting my poor bones. I have learned as of late to take it one day at a time. Or, as the title says, one step at a time. Do I always follow that advice? Not really. 😏 It might be God reminding me I'm getting ahead of myself and I need to listen to Him.

Like some of you, I tend to get ahead of myself on many things. My thoughts when I'm speaking, my directions when I'm cooking and many more tasks I do from day to day. I try to hurry up the process only to find out I missed a step. I end up having to start over on some things and others I can manage to keep going and smooth over my mistake of rushing to the final step.

In life I see, hear and read about so many people taking the easy way out of doing something right. Today it's all about the quick fix; the instant gratification. There's something about taking your time and going through each step of anything one at a time. It will eventually become second nature. Rushing through the motions just to get to the end opens yourself up to many mistakes and regrets. Being in a hurry or anxious to see or know what the outcome of anything in life won't get you very far. By trusting in Jesus, everything happens as He says because He is the one with the plan all worked out for each of us. He encourages us to take but one step at a time. Savor each moment because only He knows what's in our future. He stays ahead of us clearing the way for our every step. God is at work long before we are. He is providing solutions for situations we haven't even encountered yet. This is why we should turn over all our worries and troubles to God in prayer. He already has the answers and he will reveal them when the time is right. We should take each day one by one and each step one at a time. You can't get ahead of God, but he is definitely ahead of you.

I encourage each of you to take time to stop and hand over your worries to God because as you hand them over to Him, he is answering them. Are you hesitant to have Faith in what is to come? Faith without clarity is something we all struggle with each day. But, having faith in God will prove absolute clarity in His time. Won't you take that step of faith? Take it one step at a time.

As always, thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. If you enjoy reading the blogs, sign up to receive them by email. I'm also on Facebook and Instagram as well. Have a blessed day!
