Egg Roll in a Bowl

Egg Roll in a Bowl

*this is supposed to be a Keto-friendly recipe but I used regular ingredients and will note as such

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs. of organic ground beef (I used 93/7 hamburger to reduce the amount of fat grease when cooking)
2 medium onions (finely chopped/minced) I used a food processor but you don't have to
1 1/2 tsp. organic unrefined sesame oil (I used regular sesame oil)
1 1/2 tsp. organic ginger (powdered)(I used regular powdered ginger)
1/2 tsp. organic black pepper ( used regular black pepper)
1 tsp. garlic granules (or 4 cloves of minced garlic)
1/2 tsp salt
1/16 tsp. stevia extract (optional-substituting with another sweetener will work as well - I used regular white sugar)
1/2 tsp. organic crushed red pepper (used regular red pepper)
2 Tbsp. organic white wine (omit or substitute more broth) I use more broth
1/2 cup organic beef broth (I use regular broth)
9 cups shredded cabbage ( I used a food processor but you don't have to)
1 1/2 cups shredded carrot (I used a food processor but you don't have to)
4 tsp. tamari (soy sauce)
Green onion for garnish (optional)

Directions

Place meat in large pan or dutch oven and cook until browned. On medium high heat, add the onions and sesame oil. Cook until lightly brown. Reduce heat to medium. Add spices, sweetener, red pepper, wine, and broth to the pan and stir well. Add the cabbage and stir to coat. Cook, stirring frequently until the cabbage slightly wilts. Add carrots and cook for 2-3 minutes until soft. Add tamari (soy sauce) to taste and adjust flavoring as desired. Serve plain or over rice or cauliflower rice. Garnish with green onions, if desired. Enjoy!
