He Is Risen! 4/21/19

Happy Sunday everyone! I can't get over how green everything is getting, how the flowers are blooming and the color is popping! Spring has arrived here at the Porch Swings & Sweet Tea headquarters. It's been an egg-cellent weekend for Easter. The weather was beautiful yesterday for our church's annual Easter Egg Drop at a local
school. We had kids everywhere racing, scrambling and giggling over candy-filled eggs. It was a beautiful sight to see all those smiles, grins and chocolate covered mouths. I'm pretty sure by the late afternoon, the parents were worn out and the kids were still on a sugar high.
The helicopter dropped 4,000 candy filled eggs twice.

This morning's Easter service was filled with a gospel concert, church choir concert, Easter brunch and a very well spoken sermon. We weren't able to attend all the singing and eating due to feeling under the weather, but we made it to the sermon. Pastor Andrew spoke a very motivating Easter message.

Before you can see spiritually, you must recognize you are blind.

When you recognize you are blind you must respond with belief and react with boldness.

Mark 10:49 - Jesus stood still. Stopped in his tracks due to a man's cry for mercy.

The cry was far sweeter than the shallow cries of Hallelujah. His faith had healed him, Jesus spoke.

The real questions to all of us are, What are you willing to lose to get to the Lord? What do you want Jesus to do for you?

Have you put your concerns and needs into words to Jesus?  The time is now. Don't hesitate! The Lord is coming! This is the moment to cry out to Jesus for mercy and  healing. He's always listening. He is waiting for each of his children to open their eyes to His word and to begin their spiritual journey with him.  Won't you voice your needs to Him today? He's waiting patiently for your call to him.
