Nearing Election Day and surgery day

This morning was crisp and cool after the rain from last night. The sun was hiding behind the clouds and the birds were basking in the cool air. They have been fluttering and feeding and chattering amongst each other. The creek below is singing my song as it flows through each verse of peace and relaxation. Life is peaceful here on the home front today.
The campaign is in high gear and Glenn is ramping up his campaign and reaching out door to door when he isn't working, doing podcasts to let the voters hear his words of encouragement and forward thinking. We are keeping a forward motion on this until the very last day, which is election day May 22.
We are also preparing for my cervical spine surgery, which is set for May 25th. It will be a four level fusion of C3-C7. This will be a very serious and long surgery, but much needed to help repair degenerative disc disease that is more advanced than should be at my age. I also have bulging discs and pressure on my spine which is causing myolopathy.
I will post again with the results of the election and again once I have recovered from surgery enough to blog again.
On a good note, school is almost out and Zane couldn't be more excited to sleep in and enjoy the spoils of summertime fun.
Hope all of you have a great day!
